Question

How do I get the words on the top line of label 5027?

I have a supply of 5027 labels that I would like to use like File Folder labels. That means I need to have the typing on the top line so it can be easily seen while in the file drawer. I need to know how to change the spacing to have at top of label instead of centered.

Thanks!

The easiest way is to change the cell alignment by highlighting the template and right click, choose the alignment at the top left. It should allow the text to be entered at the top of the label.

Question

Why when I am using template 5266 The text is too high so it goes on top of the colored band not beneath it.

I know I can format the paragraph before and after which works fine on the first label but when you update all labels it is not accurate. The text is to high up. When you are doing a large mail merge this is really a problem. What am I doing wrong?

When using the File Folder labels with a color band, don't start your text on the first line. Start in the middle of the label. Adjust using 'cell alignment' from the formatting within MS Word.

Question

how to add a label template to Microsoft Word 2007

I couldn't find the template for 5195 labels in Microsoft Word 2007, so I downloaded the template from your website and saved the file and printed my labels. Worked great. But 5195 is still not on the list of Avery labels.

The 5195 is a relatively new product, so is only included in the latest version, Word 2010. You can print it with our templates for Word, the Avery Wizard for Microsoft Word, or Avery Design & Print Online. Find out more about these options at www.avery.com/templates.

The template for 5215 is included in the recent versions of Word in the Mailings tab under Labels (just choose Avery US Letter in Options to see our full product list). If you don't have it in your version of Word, just search on 5215 and download a template, or use Avery Design & Print Online at www.avery.com/print.

The two sided products are formatted one side at a time. First format the front and print it. Then format the back. We recommend you print a test page to get familiarize yourself with the orientation of the printer. If using Design & Print Online format each side of the project by selecting 'Front of Page' or 'Back of Page' from the menu options on the left.
