If you have trouble downloading, try Avery Design & Print Online at www.avery.com/print. Or maybe your gridlines aren't showing and the template is just looking like a blank page. Choose Table Tools, Borders, View gridlines if you're seeing what looks like a blank Word document.

Avery templates are built into hundreds of software programs, including Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® Publisher, Microsoft® Works, Microsoft® Access, Corel® WordPerfect®, The Print Shop, PrintMaster and more. To find the built-in Avery templates, refer to your program's Help files to search on Avery or labels.

Question

2 Postcards on page - How does Word know #2 is the NEXT data record??

I am using Avery 5389 postcards which have 2 cards per page. I used the template in Word and laid it out. Only one field is used per card. It merges fine on the 1st card but then system doesn't seem to recognize that the 2nd card should be drawing data from the 2nd record in the database. Help!?

Here's a workaround for you. Use the template for 8126 in the Avery Wizard for Microsoft Word. The layout isn't exactly like the Postcard template, but it will get your addresses on the page and then you can move them around a bit to match the layout you want. It might just be easier to do a mail merge to Clear Address Labels, such as Avery 5660, and apply those instead.

The mail merge option for these Avery Postcards is not available on Avery Design & Print Online. For best results use the mail merge function available through MS Word or through Avery Wizard. Question

Why are succeeding cards placed on the page incorrectly?

Using MS Word 2010 - Avery templates do not seem to be built in as they were in 2003. I downloaded this template and it worked OK for the first page (two cards). However, when I finally got it to add two more cards (one more page), they were placed wrong on the page. I believe this template has some kind of placement cue that I can't see, but only applies to the first page. There doesn't seem to be a header on the first page, but a blank one shows up on succeeding pages. I don't know about anyone else, but 2 cards are not enough for any of my uses, and downloading the template for each 2 cards seems like a waste of time! Suggestions?

For best results, we recommend using Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. This online software takes you step by step through the process of selecting a template, customizing it and printing out your finished project. Projects can then be saved either online to your MyAvery account or directly to your computer. Plus this design software does not require any downloads.
