You will not be able to transfer a white background using the Avery Transfer sheets. When you select 'white' as a background color your printer will not print any color in the selected area. You will need to have a more sophisticated silk screening equipment to create a white background.

Unless you have a printer that prints white ink (most don't if any) however if you're trying to print white lettering onto a black tshirt simply make your background layer black and the lettering white. This will ultimately use a LOT of black ink but found it works best for just lettering on a black shirt.

Normally there is no need to change any setting on your computer to print in white. When you change the text color to white, the printer will leave the white area blank. If your printer has the capability to print in white ink contact your printer manufacturer for assistance in changing the printer settings.

The Avery Dark Fabric Transfer sheets are compatible with darker fabrics than lighter fabrics. If you have a image or text in black the color will be transferred to the darker colored fabric.

When you select white as a font color, it will not print anything unless you have an advanced printer with specifically white ink that would be transferred to the dark background. The reverse or mirror images can be printed by changing the settings on your printer.

The transfer sheets are indented to be used with 100% cotton or cotton blend fabrics. We do not recommend using them with 100% polyester fabrics.

You may want to use the Dark Transfers for your neon green shirts. The reason I say this is because the only difference between the transfers for dark or light fabrics is that the dark transfers have a white background so we can put any image on the transfer and have it show up. The transfers for light fabrics are translucent, meaning the image printed on the transfer will just show up. On neon green you may want to have a white background, which you can change to any color, to make the colors 'POP' more. Also, white agains neon green is very crisp and clean.

The transfer is already white before you even start creating your image. It is not neccessary for white ink. This means that the default background of your image will be white, unless you MAKE your background another color.
