I use Scotch tape and tape them to a regular piece of paper. I use all of them this way with no problem.

The best thing to do is make sure you don't destroy the frame. In some cases to support the frame I have used a post it and a backing sheet. The post it holds the backing sheet in place while it is being feed through the printer and allows you to continue using a partial sheet.

You will not be able to print on the individual tabs once they have been torn off. You can re-use the same printed tabs on other file folders.

Open a MS word document
Click Mailings tab
Click Options tab
See Label Vendors abd select "Avery US Letter"
Select #11136
Click "New Document"

And there you are!

When you open your template, because the are cells, you need to go to format and choose "boarders" then choose the density that you need to provide the lines you need. Grid lines do not work.

The downloadable templates should have the gridlines that form the template. If the template page is blank enable the gridlines through Table Tools > Layout > Show Gridlines.

I have downloaded the Avery Wizard and highly recommend it to everyone. Besides integrating into word processing software, it does allow you to tab to the next label.

The template is not created as a Table that will allow you to use the Tab key. Go go from one tab to another you will have to use the mouse and click on the individual tab.

I recommend downloading the Avery Wizard, which has hundreds of label templates. It integrates into most word processing which is where the finish labels open into.

how do you get the linesto print so I can cut them out?

I tried using Table, Tools, Layout and show gridlines but it still doesn't print the lines on the finished product.

Because each label is a cell, the best way is to highlight all the cells and format them to show the "boarders". Choose the boarder thickness that you want in order to have a good line to cut on.

My print preview for the lables looks fine, but when I actually print on these tabs, no words show up. Why aren't my lables printing???

I've downloaded the template several times. I use the avery lables daily and never have trouble. Why don't the words actually print? Print preview shows the words should be there.

You may need to change the printer settings go accommodate these inserts and calibrate your printer driver. This will resolve many of the alignment issues. The Majority of the time alignment issues can be resolved by changing the printer settings. Depending on your printer, you may need to change the printer settings to label or something similar to accommodate the label sheets.
