These hanging file tab labels replace the plastic tabs that are inserted into hanging file folders and that require the little paper card that are you slide into the plastic tab. Instead of using those plastic tags, fold these labels in half to create a tab to insert into the slots on the hanging file.

When I downloaded the template for #5567 and opened it, the 9 tabs are not showing, just a blank page. How can I get the tabs to show?

The actual tab outlines do not display on the template, but there should be the black outlined boxes there where you type the text you want on the hanging file tabs. Just click in each box and type what you want to show on the tab.

If the template looks like a blank page, select Table Tools > Layout > Show Gridlines to view the template layout.

Depending on the location of the template you downloaded, go to the folder on your computer where it is saved.

The text you enter into the template will automatically enter as landscape orientation even though the template itself is in portrait orientation.

Why won't this template allow for the use of Mail Merge for labels? It won't allow me to "Next Label" and wants to print only one tab per page.

Why is the print not vertical?

When printing the text is horizontal and not vertical. Therefore not aligning with forms.

Placing your cursor to the right of the final label and hitting 'enter' should give you another page. For best results we recommend using Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. This online software takes you step by step through the process of selecting the correct template, customizing it, adding additional pages if desired with the 'add a sheet' feature and then printing out your finished project. There is no download required and projects can be saved either online to your MyAvery account or directly to your computer.
