Question

Printing 5 different tabs in a single print

I just got two packs of the 11536 Direct Print Presentation Dividers and downloaded the template for MS word 2003, but when I try to print the on the folders, and tabs it prints the taps on one sheet of paper rather than feeding one page at a time and printing 5 different tabs, which is what I need it to do, since it will take too much time to print one tab at a time. Also when I use the online print it prints 5 pages but all the same content instead of 5 different pages even though I fill out 5 different tabs, seems it prints the 5th tap 5 times, what am I doing wrong?

I finally had time to play with this and I think I've got it. On that first page where you see all five tabs, complete each one the way you want them. Load your printer with the Direct Print Dividers. When you are ready to print, tell the printer you want five copies. That way each tab will print with the corresponding information and when you peel the yellow strip you get rid of the additional tab information. Hope this helps!

When using the template available through Avery Design & Print Online to create individual dividers format the first tab and delete the contents of the others. If you wish to print all five dividers enter the different contents on each tab.

Try adjusting your margins slightly or use alignment to move to be right justified.

If you have a standard desktop laser or inkjet printer, then use the regular Direct Print Dividers. The High-Speed Direct Print Dividers are designed for use in high speed printers that do batch printing.

How do I load the indexes for them to print properly?

I have been putting in the bypass tray and have tried several different page orders, front and back, etc. and can't seem to get my titles to print on the tabs. What am I doing wrong?

Every printer loads differently. Check your printer manual for directions. Also, do a test print of your labels first and place the print-out behind your labels to see if they are lining up prior to printing on your label sheets.

We do not have a template for a 4 tab divider. Majority of the Avery divider sets are available in 5 and 5, 8 and 12 tabs.

Question

Any more instruction on how to print these tabs?

I am tring to print Custom Dividers - 5 tab - Left Bind on an HP Laser Jet CP5225

THe template is for 8.5" x 11", but with the tabe the document is actually 9" x 11". I have tried messing with margins & paper size with no luck. I can print on the sheet, but it prints on the body not on the actual tab. Any suggestions?

There is no need to change the alignment or the margin settings on the templates. You may need to calibrate the printer with the Avery design software. This can be done with the new version of Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. Select to use the Beta version, select the template, type the text and use the radial buttons to turn the text box to the appropriate orientation.
