How can we create nametags for the hanging badges with Mac OS 10.6?

We were running an earlier system and Appleworks. We were able to create nametags in Appleworks for the Avery hanging badges, but since we got new computers, they won't open the appleworks documents.

Rather than throw away the plastic and strings after each event, I want to recycle them and use new nametag card stock.

Avery has Name Badge Insert Sheets in two sizes. Avery 5390 will accommodate Avery Name Badges that measure 2-1/4" x 3-1/2". Avery 5390 is compatible with 3" x 4" Avery Name Badges. These items can be found at your local office supply retailers and through Avery.com. These insert sheets are white and is not available in bulk quantities.
