Question

What format do I use to create an Excel data file?

That's all I need to know, but I don't see the directions anywhere. I supposed data should be vertical, but I'd like to know for sure before I convert this Word file to Excel. Thanks.

Suggest that you speak to a representative. I was trying to merge an excel database with hanging folder inserts. It is complex They walked me through it and then sent the steps to my email address. Don't waste your time - just call - Avery has great customer service!

did my download of mail merge, now it seems frozen. ive been waiting 15 minutes twice and all it does it show downloading blue button. wont let me out

Well, this was answered 3 months ago, yet the Excel upload issue continues. The 100% loading message displays, but then the process freezes there. I have tried the online Mail Merge version and the download Avery software. While in Excel, clicking the Avery menu item runs into the same issue. Seems that Avery software doesn't recognize Excel. So, what's the workaround?

How do I get all of the lines in a mail merge to appear?

I am trying to do a mail merge for online labels. It is only importing one line for the labels. I have done this in the past and it worked fine. Don't know what I am doing wrong. I am importing form EXCEL spreadsheet Office 2007.

Everything lines up for a perfect print out before the adobe file opens. Now it shows/prints the name and add all running together. Help!

Why wont the adobe file show the correct format for the adress print label?

There are some identified issues with retrieving and printing saved projects from Avery Design & Print Online. The projects saved to your computer can be retrieved through the old version of the software by using the "Miss the old version?" link at the bottom of www.Avery.com/Print. The projects saved to your Avery account can be accessed once the issues are resolved.

Question

I merged an Excel address list into labels #8660, but they are double spaced, even though I am selecting single space. How do I change to single sp?

I have done the mail merge and have the labels, having matched 3 fields - name, address, city/state/zip... but in the preview they are double spaced between lines and will therefore not fit within the label size. How do I adjust this spacing? When I click on line spacing top tab and change it to single space (.1) it does not change it.

Make sure that you don’t have any blank lines in between the entries in your spread sheet file. The only way the mail merge process will insert an additional space is if you have an empty cell.

Barcodes can be created by using Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. You begin the process by selecting your template and then choosing a design layout. Next go to the 'Barcodes and QR Codes' menu option on the left hand side of the editing screen and simply follow the steps to create your barcode. Once you are finished, your project can be printed out and then saved either online to your MyAvery account or directly to your computer. Mail Merge can't be changed once it's saved.

I am trying to go back to a label I created and used to mail merge. I want to be able to change the merged fields. I am making name tags from an excel spreadsheet that has names added weekly. The history is kept, but I want to choose the new names for the mail merge.
