I originally posted this question and then received an answer from another who said that, in their experience they would only recommend that the labels be given time to dry. With that advice I bought the labels and so far am very pleased. I allowed the label for my own membership card to dry and then applied it. It is in my wallet and seems to be holding up well.

In my experience the printed information does not smear. Just be sure to let the ink dry immediately after it has printed. Then it should be fine.

It could be that the size of the file you are trying to use is too large. Try making it smaller and then see what happens.

Maybe you are not doing all of the steps necessary. First, browse for a picture and click on it in order to select it. Then you must click the 'Upload' button to the right of the file name. Then, you must wait for the picture to upload. It can take some time to upload depending on how fast your computer is or the speed of your internet connection.
I hope this helps.

It should be noted on the back ofthe folder whether or not these labels are non-yellowing (museum quality is the term we use in the art world actually) as for the "glue" absolutely. All Avery Labels are acid free.
