Question

Can these labels be printed with a HP LaserJet?

I have two laserjet printers (one is black and white the other is color). The description for this label (Avery® Gold Foil Mailing Labels for Inkjet Printers 8987, 3/4" x 2-1/4", Pack of 300 Product Number: 8987) says it is for an inkjet printer.

I would like to know if these labels will work on a laserjet printer please.

Thanks,
Judi

Unfortunately, they do not print well in a laserjet printer. I always use my inkjet. They come out lovely. I do wish they were made for the laser. It may have something to do with the metallic finish.

Question

Is there a "Laser" print version of the 8987 gold foil labels? Or are the 8987 labels Laser and Ink Jet compatible?

The foil labels are only guaranteed by Avery to perform in Ink Jet printers. There is no laser version, however you can try using these in your laser printer at your own risk if you wish. I have to say I have used them in my color laser printer and they do not jam, but each printer is different and I caution you that Avery does not guarantee these to perform well in laser printers.

Sorry -- Avery does not make oval foil labels. We do have oval labels in white, both glossy and matte. Our gold and silver foil labels are available only in 3/4" x 2 1/4" rectangular mailing size. We also have gold and silver mailing seals which are 1" round.

If you go to avery.com, click on Design & Print Online, and then type in 8987 the template for this product will come up. Click on the name of the product, and various design options will come up. Click on "Select & Customize" on the first design, which has a box that says "Place Graphic Here". On the left under Images click on "From Avery Gallery", then click on Letters & Numbers. You will find various options for inserting letters, with and without backgrounds. You can then customize the rest of the label any way you like, then save and print the labels right from the website. I hope that helps!

I believe it will make a lovely seal for the envelope. Of course, make sure the envelope is sealed on it's own as well.
Make the invitation richer.
