Looking at the sheet of paper that just came out of the printer -

1. Is it right side up? If so, you probably put it in your printer upside down, correct?
2. Turn it upside down.
3. Turn it around clockwise.
4. Put it in your printer again - presto - you have another label in the blank spot.

Hope that works for you . . ..

We do not recommend multiple passes of the label sheets through the printer. Single labels can be formatted by using the downloadable templates or through Avery design software. For best results use the new version of Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. Choose a pre-designed template or create your own and select the 'Apply to One' option through the Sheet Navigation menu. If you selected a pre-designed template make sure to delete the contents on the unwanted label prior to printing.

Question

paper size error on HP Photosmart C8180 AIO

When Avery 8960 is in paper tray the printer does not read it correctly. I have reset all parameters on the printer so it should recognize US Letter paper size. Is there something about the label type that causes the problem? I know that my settings are OK as it prints on all other label forms and regular paper.

Thank you for your response, however HP has no help for this issue. I found a solution myself. I reasoned that the printer was not recognizing the paper size because of the opening (hole) in the label sheet [START HERE] where one would peel the printed disc label. I placed an address label over the back of the opening and the mechanism in the printer ignored the hole and registered the full size of the paper. I suggest you re-engineer the label and leave a paper backing in place of the current gap where you lift the disc label off. See attached photo.
