Questions & Answers for AVERY Two-Side Printable Ink Jet Clean Edge Business Cards 8876

Question

Avery 8876 Business Cards using Microsoft Publisher?

What setting do I use in publisher to get business cards printed? I set publisher to print 10 a page. When I print the outside edges of the cards are outside the card edges. The top and bottom margins are also inconsistent. I've tried to change the layout margins, but that just pushing things around and doesn't seem to ever get the print areas inside the card edges.

When you were designing your cards, try to use the gridlines in order to see the borders of the cards, sometimes you need to have a lot of patience in order to get a good job. Just take your time, I forgot I use Word, I think it is simple in this program.

Hi Xphl7, try putting everything you want to print into text boxes and keep them at at least .25 in. away from the outside borders. If you use text boxes (more than one), and keep them relatively small, you can fit a whole lot onto the cards. I happen to be on a Mac right now, which doesn't have Publisher, but the MSOffice Word 2011 contains a rudimentary version of Publisher. In order to answer your question, I opened up a template and saw what MSOffice had done, which is to put the text into text boxes. If you have artwork or a logo, that can go into a picture box as well.
Good luck!
