You can create a custom print for your project. It's not near as hard as it sounds. Just use a ruler and measure the outsides of the usable part of the card/label. Their may also be a center "gutter" that is not printed on, and sometimes their is space between, as in labels. Measure all, and type in these numbers into a custom label. Done! Now create and print. Always print on plain paper first, then place this paper over the label sheet to be sure they fit perfectly. If not, you can adjust your custom settings.

You may need to change to 5371 or other updated number. You may need to contact avery for the replacment number. Or if you are using Word 2007, there is a template in there. d

If you are going to print on the other side, wait at least 15 minutes before printing and spread the sheets out so they are not on top of each other for best drying results. I find no smearing when I then print the other side of the card.

THIS IS EASY IF USING A 'MAC'. GOTO AN ONLINE MAPPING PROGRAM, USE THE 'GRAB' UTILITY TO 'CAPTURE' AN IMAGE, SAVE TO DESKTOP, DRAG TO BUSINESS CARD TEMPLATE, DONE! :D

Question

How do I print individual cards on 8871, instead of a whole sheet at a time? Could I apply different templates to the different cards?

Most of the cards I am making are for people whose cards either don't exist, or I have written on. So I am creating or recreating a card for each person. I could use one design and change the text on each, if that works.

There is a plug-in for Word 2007 that installs an Avery tab for Avery Wizard. You can create cards with the same layout but change the information on each card if that is what you are trying to accomplish.

You may need to change the printer settings to card, card stock or something similar to accommodate these card sheets. Please refer to your printer user guide or contact your printer manufacturer for instructions on changing the printer settings.
