You can type on the inside both upper and lower panels, on the front and back.Use the template offered by Avery and follow the directions for inserting textboxes for printed matter.

For best results use the tempaltes avaialble through Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Tempaltes. Select from a variety of pre-designed tempaltes or create your own design by selecting a blank template. Use the 'Front of page' and 'Back of page' options from the design menu options to format the individual sides of these note cards.

The paper measurement that we use is Mil thickness. Product# 8315 is 8.5 mils.

I have an ink-jet printer (Canon MG6320), but "card stock" is not one of its choices for paper.

The choices are: plain paper, certain specific kinds of photo paper, other fine art paper, European DL and US #10 envelopes, Hagaki, and high resolution paper.

The paper path is kind of a hairpin curve, so paper jams are a concern.

Am I out of luck with the 8315 note cards?

Any ink jet printer is compatible with this product. Be sure to change your printer settings to "Card" or "Cardstock" to accommodate the card sheets.

Unless your photos are natively the size expected by the template (whatever that may be--undefined as best I can tell), once you transfer your photos into the word document, you must re-size them and then move them to be centered. The template at least provides a set of guidelines to show where the separation and the folds will be. Don't forget about margins while you are doing all of this.

But these cards are easy to format by using the downloadable templates from www.Avery.com/Templates or through by using Avery design software at www.Avery.com/Softwre.
