After you select a text box, select FORMAT, then ROTATE. A small window will pop up and you may select one of the icons for the DIRECTION OF PRINT, or you may indicate a specific angle.

Insert a text box on any label, right click on the text and you should be able to change the text direction.

For best results use the templates available through Avery Wizard. Search for the template by typing the product number into the 'Product number or description' field, select the appropriate template for your project and select the orientation of the template from the 'Select orientation' options to the right.

Not sure if it would hold up if the food jar would go into the fridge or freezer. The moisture would probably take the label off.
If just a pantry item, I would advise using this label!

I wish to print my labels VERTICALLY for use on a product package.
