It's so simple, but I still had to look on line for an explanation on how to use it. To bad Avery doesn't include instructions with it as to how to use.

Had the same problem...the middle disc part needs to be "ejected"...when we received ours, the middle disc part was pushed in...you may need to turn or twist the middle disc part a little to unlock it and pull up...once this is done, place the label (sticky side) through the middle disc part; place CD/DVD face down on top of label; then push middle disc part down...hold for few seconds...release and label will be centered perfectly...

Put the printed side of the DVD label facing down on the applicator, then take the DVD side to be labeled and apply face down and press down on the center knob. It should adhere the label to the DVD disc.

Question

How does the label stay flat on the applicator?

I have a label applicator and I find it very difficult to keep the label flat as I lower the disk on to it. It is very hard to keep the label from attaching itself before it's centered.
Thanks,
Walter

I find it helps minimize label curling to place the label face down on a hard surface, then peel the paper backing off of the label rather than peeling the label off freehand. The label will then lay flat on the applicator.

Question

How do I get my label applicator center spindle back to the large size.

I had an old applicator that was only the large size center spindle. I bought a new one that had the small size as well. Somehow it locked down in the small size. There appears to be no way to go to the large size center spindle. It is an Avery brand applicator. I want to use the large size center spindle.

I was having the same problem. If the spindle won't come up at all, just push down and twist a bit to get it unlocked. In my case the larger inset that goes over the smaller spindle had come off. When I found it and put it on my problem was solved. If you look down at the smaller spindle and see some slots next to the base as well as some slots on the inside of the area around the spindle, then the larger spindle inset is missing.
