Formatting and printing individual or multiple cards can be done by using the downloadable templates at www.Avery.com/Templates and Avery design software at www.Avery.com/Software. When using the Word templates, select "Single label" option and format the desired amount of cards. In Avery Wizard, after selecting the template and orientation, choose 'Type many different entries on a sheet'. If on Avery Design & Print Online format the needed number of cards by selecting the card through the Sheet Navigator. Reminder, if you select a pre-designed template, delete the formatting on unused cards.

I wouldn't use the mailing labels for name tags. Avery has a line of name tags that I've used and they work well.

These labels have a permanent adhesive that may not be suitable to be used with certain types of clothing. We would not recommend these labels to be used as name badges. Avery produces a line of Name Badge products. Here is a link to these products http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Pr.... Browse through these to find the ideal product for your project.

No, the products are created according to the specifications of the printer. We do not recommend using labels designed for use with a Laser Printer with an inkjet printer.

You can use on plastic, however, they are not waterproof. Try product #5523 which is the same size as #5163, yet it's made of a durable material that can withstand the environment and is moisture resist.

Try using Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. This takes you step by step through the process of selecting the correct template, customizing it and then printing out your final project. You can insert backgrounds and images by using the 'From My Computer' or 'From Avery Gallery' options. There is no download required and projects can be saved online to your MyAvery account or directly to your computer. Here is a link to view the software demo: http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/De....
