Download the Avery Label Plug in for Excel 2007 or later version. Click on plug in tab once installed and click through the screens.

You could also open Word 2007, click "Mailing" and do a mail merge with your excel file

First: are the names, addresses, city, state and zip codes all in different cells in any given row (record) in Excel?
If so, when you create a mail merge and select 5160 for the labels, you place the appropriate merge fields on the labels and merge to an external database - the Excel file.

The merge wizard in Word should be a big help with creating the merge form (the labels).

If they are address labels, when you do a mail merge in Word, simply select an external database file, in this case Excel. You can map fields if necessary.

You can download the "Add in" Avery Label Pro program to Excel 2007 and later. Very easy to use! You can also create labels in WORD and import your excel file into word without the Add On download.

I have used #5160 in an ink jet printer; however, my end result was not of the best quality. I would recommend using #8160, which is designed for ink jet printers.

Make an example of your text. Then paste it in the appropriate window of your template. Now copy the window. Then paste it in each window of your template
When this is done,save the page. You can then print it.

You have to download Aery Wizard for this to be easy. When you have downloaded Avery Wizard, open a new Word document, click on Avery Wizard and it wil take you step by step. You can select either whole page of identical labels or individual labels. Hope this helps! :)

Not sure specifically about Vista printing. Assume you're using Word or similar. In your listing of label options may be a different Avery address label ending with 60. For example 5260 or 5660 or 8160 which is the number for the clear ones. It may also be you need to switch from "Dot Matrix" to "Laser and Ink Jet" to get the list of different lables. This should be on the same screen.

When this happened to me, I tried turning the page around so that I found the top. Also I re-downloaded the free Avery Label program that especially matched the labels. I found that there may have been a portion missing and when I did, they lined up just right.

Yes, Avery produces White Address Labels that can be purchased in lesser quantities and is compatible with laser printers. Avery® Easy Peel® White Address Labels for Laser Printers 5260 contains 750 labels and is a great alternative.

Can these labels be used for barcode printing?These labels are then scanned for future use.

We are printing a bar code on these labels with font IDAutomation HC39M at font size 12 to a Canon LaserJet printer. Once the document has been scanned and viewed, the bar code label is not definite. Although when viewing the label it appears okay. When viewed in the scanning tool, the bar code label's lines appear to 'bleed' together. Because of this, the document can not be read and fails.
Do you suggest another Avery Product Label that may be better suited for our needs?

Best to use a laser printer for this application.
It sounds like you are using a bubble jet or inkjet printer.
Because it is water based, it will bleed on any paper product.

Sure just look for a box that has 250 sheets of labels in it. 5160 labels come 30 labels to a page. (30x250 = 7500 labels)

If you have Microsoft Office, it comes with the template for that on Macs too. I use it all the time. Otherwise, you should be able to download it on the website. Just search for the 5160 template.
