Questions & Answers for AVERY Dark T-shirt Transfers 4385

Question

How do I remove the paper backing from the transfer?

It is very difficult for me to remove the paper backing from the fabric transfer. Even after much trouble I can start to peel it but it will rip and not separate. Any suggestions?

Two suggestions:

1. When trimming the image, I usually leave at least a 1/4" border. That way if you mangle the transfer around the edges, you can still trim off the mangled bits.

2. I always lay the paper down with the backing side facing up. Once you are able to get a corner separated, gently pull the backing off diagonally up towards you, holding the transfer down with your other hand.

Hope this helps!

Yes, the dark fabric transfer sheets are compatible with dark 100% cotton or cotton blend fabric. We do not recommend using dark transfer sheets on light colored fabrics.
