Question

I cannot transfer my image.

For some reason when I iron the picture on, it either melts the avery paper completely or it leaves a white film over the picture on the material and you can't see the picture.

I'm using product 3271. I am transferring onto white material. I double checked online to be sure i was doing it correctly and I am, however, the results aren't coming out at all. Help! Thank you!!!

To be honest, I have had the same trouble with this particular transfer. Use one of the other Avery T-shirt transfer products and you will be much happier.

No. Sorry. You can put the image on something else and put it on the sunshade by covering with a clear vinyl.

Question

Why does my black & white image appear green on my white 100% cotton fabric?

I printed out a black & white photo of my grandparents on my inkjet printer in greyscale. The image is green on the fabric, which was pre-washed, ironed with no steam and all other directions followed.

greyscale still uses the color cartridge so it depends on ink level. Next time use the black cartridge only setting and you will be much happier.

Laser printers generally get too hot and may damage the adhesive on the transfer. Therefore, these are meant to be Ink Jet compatible only.

Question

Can the transfer be dry cleaned if you have washed it a couple of times after applying it? If no is there any way of sealing it so it can be cleaned?

Drycleaning can ruin a transfer but you can use a Dryel type dry cleaning where the garment is spot cleaned - as long as you don't put it directly on the transfer it should be ok.

The T-Shirt Transfer products do not have an expiration date. As long as they are stored in normal conditions they can be used within 3 to 5 years of purchase.
