Can mail merge be done using numbers on Mac?

When attempting a mail merge I can't choose my Numbers address list. Should I use another program for addresses on my Mac 10.6.7 in order to create a mail merge for avery address labels? Should I save my Numbers list as something else to make it selectable?

In Numbers document go to "save as" and check the box that has an option to "save as excel doc". Then use Avery online and the Excel document is easily merged with Avery's on line instructions.

How can I apply Bar Codes to adresses?

Windows 7 will not provide bar codes on addresses as Windows XP did. Any advice short of buying more software?

How do I make an address list containing the information for the labels? (I have microsoft Excel

The instructions say to make a mailing list, but doesn't say how or where. I have Microsoft Excel. Can you tell me how to make that list so it can be used for "mail merge" in order to print those addresses on labels.?
