Don't understand why you need it in portrait mode. When you insert in the in spine it will be portrait. Using the template you center the text as you would anything in Word. Insert your logo as a picture. It's very simple.

I've never used it in portrait. Landscape seems to work best. The template is in landscape and hasn't caused me a problem. I've used the inserts for years. When you print them out you insert it in the spine of binder; turns out perfectly.

You can change the page orientation in the Avery Wizard. Go to www.avery.com/wizard to download the software. Once you have installed the Wizard, launch it from Microsoft Word. Enter the product number or description in the "Product Number or Description" area and then select the "Portrait" button for page orientation.

Thank you Avery, that worked using Word Art. I used portrait which filled the space top to bottom.

Question

How do you get these inserted into the spine space on the binder?

I've never found a way to insert these labels into the space between the clear vinyl and the binder's colored vinyl without the label "scrunching" up. How do you get the label into the spine space, especially on a 1/2" spine?

Sometimes it helps to use a guide, like a thin piece of cardboard. Cutting it to size (slightly longer than the spine insert to make it easier to remove) and then using the cardboard along with the spine insert to help slide it into position.
