Do you have a template for the 8 label version (old) of this product 05201?

I still have a lot of these labels that are kind of useless without a template.

You can use the 7 label template; I have about 600 of these old labels, and I just used it, and it worked beautifully. Load the template into Word, and walk through the steps to set up your labels. When it takes you into Word to print them, you'll see that the label layout is nothing more than a simple table. Put the cursor in the cell for the seventh label, and then in Table Tools, select Insert... and Row Below. Word will drop in one more perfectly-formatted cell, where you can type the info for your eighth label.

The one other tweak I had to make was to reset the top margin. I just eyeballed it and printed a few plain pages to compare to my label sheet. The top margin setting I liked best was .38, about half of the original setting.

Once you have it all set the way you want it, save the document in Word. If you're adept with Word at all, I would just use that document for setting up and printing future labels, and forget fooling around with the template each time. The nice thing about the Wizard is that it sets up the printer settings - paper size, etc. - perfectly, so you don't have to mess around with that.

Hope this helps!

If the first action you took was to hit Enter, you may have shifted the entire template down. You can make margin adjustments using the Ruler that appears at the top and side of the page in Word. If you don't see the Ruler, choose View > Ruler and click to turn on the ruler. You just click and drag to move the columns that will adjust your layout. Or try using Avery Design & Print Online at avery.com/print. There is a print adjustment tool on the print page that might be helpful.

It sounds like you are looking for white file folder labels that you can add a color bar of your choice to its template. The white file folder labels we have are a slightly different size than #5200. The product number for white file folder labels is 5366 and the size per label is 2/3" x 3 7/16".

These labels measure 11/16" x 3-7/16" and are only available in these 4" x 6" sheets. We do have other file folder label products that are available in full sheets.
