Question

my question is how to use template for 5388

I just want a template for avery 5388, that allows me to make flash cards. I want to print out 3 cards per sheet and cannot figure out how to do this. Surely you can do this for us. When I down load a template it is one page. This is not helpful.

In office 97 you can define the cards by selecting Table > Show Gridlines. If you use the "borders" approach you will print the lines.

Printing lines may be helpful for a proof copy so you don't waste forms. I use Edit > Select All then select All Borders to print the proof copy with outlines. Select All and No Borders before you print on stock.

Also in '97 you move from card to card with the Tab key. If you are on the third card and Tab you will get a new page.

5388 is a useful template for creating 3x5 cards.

Use the outside border from the "tables and borders" toolbar. It will outline the three index cards.
I am using Word 97. Then you will know where to type the three cards.

When you fill out the three cards, save it and click on the template again. You end up having to select multiple files to print more than three cards. Not the most convenient solution, but it works.

If you need more than one page, when you get to the last card, just hit enter, and MS Word will add another page. Also refer to this link:

It sounds like your security setting might be blocking the download. If you don't see a message appear to click to allow the download, then try using Avery Design & Print Online at www.avery.com/print - no download is required.

Bend on perforations one way, then the other and they tear apart very easily, with clean edges.

Question

Doublesided Index cards

I am looking for details on how to make the template for 8577 OR 5388 add a second, formatted or "templated" page to the document so that I can print question/answer index cards or flash cards. I have gotten as far as adding a second page to template 8577 but I can NOT get the thing to format into the template on that page. I am using a Windows 7 machine with Office (Word) 2010, and am printing on an Epson Workforce 840 printer. It can print double sided documents automatically and I am trying to take advantage of that and have the cards come out right, but I can't get a 2nd, formatted page with either template.

Question

How do I extend the 3x5 Index Card (5388) template for multiple pages in Word and/or OpenOffice?

I do like the template because it allows me to print out correctly on 3x5 cards. I am using this for sales leads; yep, going old school. That being said, how do I extend this one page template to multiple pages? Maybe this is an easy fix, I just don't know what it is. Thank you in advance for your advice!
