Now that I've added my tab labels to the template, how do I print them?

My printer even has a paper setting called "Tab Stock" but when I try to print, it prints just below the tab, as if the tab were not there. How do I get my printer to recognize it and print on the the actual tab?

Did you already print on a plain piece of paper to see if the alignment is correct and that it's just a printer pull issue? If so, choose the Card stock setting on your printer to help it move the heavy paper through better. If the printed paper is off, you might need to adjust the margins using the Ruler settings at the edge of your screen. If you don't see rulers in Word, choose View then Rulers. You can just click and drag to adjust the settings.

Question

How do you get the tabs to print on the tabs on the plain tab indexes?

I am trying to print on plain tab indexes. Obviously this page is wider than 8.5x11. I can't get my copier to print on the tabs it only prints below them (inside the 8.5 x 11 size) What am I doing wrong. When I take the margin out further it tells me that I'm outside the printable margin.

For best results, we recommend using Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. This online software takes you step by step through the process of selecting a template, customizing it and printing out your finished project. The editing screen for the Direct Print Dividers has the option to view and edit the 'tab' and the 'page' sections separately. This feature helps to ensure that by making adjustments to one section of the divider, the other section will not change. Projects can then be saved either online to your MyAvery account or directly to your computer. Plus this design software does not require any downloads.
