This is what I did that worked well for me:
Save the file then open it in MS Word. If it looks blank, go to the "Layout" tab at the top (one of two "Table Tools" tabs on the far right, "Layout" should be the last tab along the top). Then, under the "Table" section (first section on the left) click "View Gridlines." That should show you the label perimeters so you know where to type.

You just need to turn on the gridlines in Word. To view the table gridlines in Word 2007, click on the Table Tools tab at the top of your screen. Then under Borders click View Gridlines.

Yes, just click in each box to personalize each label. To make them all the same, create one, then cut and paste it into the others.

Individual lables can be edited during anytime of the project. Create a full sheet of the same labels and individually select the label that needs to be edited. Another option is to create multiple labels with different designs by using the 'Edit One' option through the Sheet Navigator. If you are not familiar with the new featuers of the software here is the software demo to help you http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/De....

Question

I have 5440 labels(1.5"x 3") and I need to print so the writing goes across the 1.5" direction.

The template I downloaded is set up to write and print horizontally across the 3" section. Do you have a temaplate that prints in the other direction - horizontally across the 1.5" section? I am using MS word.

I loaded 5440.

The page is blank. It does not have the three label spaces. What is the fix? I also loaded 5434 and it is working as expected.

Sounds like you may need to enable the gridlines in order to see the acutal card or label cells. If the template looks like a blank page, select Table Tools > Layout > Show Gridlines to view the template layout.

For best results use the templates available through Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. Select the number of templates needed for the project through the 'Enhanced Editing' option. For example if you need a total of 12 labels choose to format 4 template pages.

Question

label download problem

I am trying to download template 5440-3 labels per sheet. I keep getting U-0246-01-P which is a single large label.
The same thing happens when I use 1_335_us0_mult_lbl_whi_4 which used to give me the correct template, but now gives me the same as above number. How do I get the correct template?

Question

Are they compatible with my company's Canon C5051 Image Runner Printer?

I bought these labels to print using my company's Canon C5051 Image Runner printer, and I can't figure out how to get them to print on the printer. If these labels are only compatible with personal/at home and/or specific type of printers (i.e. laster ink jets, personal label makers, etc), it would have been nice of your company to state that. It seems these labels are just too small to be used on this type of printer. But if it's something I am doing please tell me how to program the printer to run the labels through.

Product# 5440 is designed for use with both Laser and Inkjet Printers. It is not recommended for use with color laser printers. Be sure to change your printer settings to the special 4x6 paper size. If you have more problems with your printer, contact your printer manufacturer.
