There is no need to change the templates. They are created according to the specifications of the products. The size of the product can be found on the product packaging and on the product page at www.Avery.com.

Images, photos and company logos can be used through the 'Insert' option through Word or 'Insert Image' option through Avery design software. Avery templates are built into hundreds of software programs, including Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® Publisher, Microsoft® Works, Microsoft® Access, Corel® WordPerfect®, The Print Shop, PrintMaster and more. To find the built-in Avery templates, refer to your program's Help files to search on Avery or labels. The templates are aslo available online at www.Avery.com/Print.

If you have the product, you can measure it yourself. Top and bottom margins are 27mm; left and right are about 0.75". Yes -- the top and bottom are an inch and a fraction! This is another thing that annoys me about this product.

Majority of the Avery product templates are compatible with MS Word. Avery does not have a downloadable Publisher template for this product. The MS Word compatible downloadable templates are available at www.Avery.com/Templates. The same templates are available through Avery design software at www.Avery.com/Software. Use the Avery Template & Software Advisor at http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Te... to help you choose the right Avery printing solution based on your project and your computer system.

Question

How do I make a change and apply to all nametags?

I used the template to create nametags for a meeting last year. I want to use the same nametags and just change the date on all of them. Is there a way to change the first and appy to the rest or do I have to start from scratch again.

For best results use Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. Select from a variety of pre-designed templates or create your own by selecting a blank template. Make changes to one of the name badges and use the Apply All function on the Sheet Navigator to apply the changes to the entire sheet. If you are not families with the software or the new enhancement here is the link to the software demo http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/De....

You need to have Microsoft Word on your computer. If you do you should be able to either click on the file you download or go to Word and open it. Click on the mailings/labels. When the window opens asking you for details about the label size, click on the "options" button. It will ask you to select several items: Printer information Leave it on Default Tray, Label Vendor (select Avery US Letter) and then select a template number (this will be the number on the package of inserts). Then click on New Document. You will open the template to design your labels.

Depending upon the simplicity of what you are creating, I suggest you design your name tag in the first area (dotted lines will show you the print area), select the design and copy and paste it into the label to the right of the first one. Then insert dummy names in each one. Print out a sample on plain paper and hold it up to the light with the actual blank label in front of it. If you like the spacing, copy and paste the design into one complete sheet and do the same (print a sample to make sure that each label is positioned properly).

Good Luck!!

Are you trying to download the template from the Avery website? If so, you may have a pop-up blocker which is stalling the download. You would then need to click on the yellow bar at the top that says "To help protect your security . . ." and then choose "Download File". The download should then complete. If this is not the issue please explain what process you are using to download the template.

You can also format this template using the Avery Wizard (a free download on avery.com) or by going to Design & Print Online in avery.com.
