Pictures and logos can be added to address name badges to give them a personalized touch. If on Word, and Avery Wizard select Insert and choose from a saved file on your machine. On Avery Design & Print Online, from the Enhanced Editing option click on Add Image, then from file and select the picture that you would like to insert. Sure! The photo should be a size that fits (sounds silly, but if you're doing several photo badges the photos should all be about the same size to give it a professional look. By the way, I design, format and print the logo first on the badge insert sheets. Next I decide the layout of the information -- the badge wearer's name and the photo. Remember that when you do these badges, you're working in the TABLE menu and format. In Windows 7, access the FORMAT menu. Use the sizing functions to crop the photo you're using and to resize it so it fits in the badge cell. I don't know the current terminology, but the old Windows programs used to have "Frames." You can tweak the placement of the photo in the same FORMAT menu, and how you want the photo to relate to the text. Take a few minutes to figure it out for yourself. Print up a draft of your design and hold it up to the light in back of the blank (or logo-ed) insert page. That way you'll see your printing and the perforations of the badges. Have fun

Question

We are downloading the template for 5390 but when we try to move locations around on it we can't

Due to the type of business we are we need to readily identify our employees and we can't move our logo or the employees picture around on the template, as well as giving all pertinent information of the employee.. Evidently there was one before that told where everything could be and that template is not available? This is really frustrating when you can't get the template that will work with the labels.

You can use copy and paste after you design the first label - sometimes you have to adjust the formatting a bit. OR, if you're starting with a pre-designed template, use the Find and Replace feature to substitute text all at once. Most Word templates don't have the auto-fill feature, but our Avery Wizard for Microsoft Word or Avery Design & Print Online can fill all the cards or labels at once. Try them at www.avery.com/templates.
