Looking for Answers about AVERY Large Tent Card, 1 per sheet?

I had success when I wrote my text using the Word Art feature of Microsoft Word. With Word Art, you can rotate the text, and so I was able to rotate the text on the upper part of the template. (Go to the Word Art Tools menu to find the Rotate command.) The Rotate feature only allows you to rotate 90 degrees, so you have to rotate twice. I also had an image, and I was able to use the Rotate command on the Picture tools menu to do the same thing. I am using Word 2010. (I am a Microsoft employee.)

The best answer for the tent cards is to develop your tent card form in publisher using text boxes where you are able to duplicate the first text box and then turn the copy text box upside down into the correct position for the back of the tent card. Once you have done that then as you change the names in the format that is not upside down you can copy and insert it to the other side and it will automatically be in the upside down position. Then you can print on the Avery 5309 Large Tent Cards and have both sides printed at the same time.

Sure - open a blank Word document and use Page Setup to set orientation to Landscape.

Insert a Text Box that is 2.5" tall and 10" wide. The first should reside 1.25" from the top and 0.5" from the left, add a second that should reside 5" from the top and 0.5" from the left (this is assuming all margins are set to 0, you will have to do the math if you have margins set from top and left).

Type text in each box, add images, whatever. If you are using Office 2007 or newer, you should be able to take the TOP text box and rotate is 180 degree - making everything upside down so it prints correctly.

If this isn't available, you can work around this limitation by right-clicking the text box and selecting "Save as Picture". Save the picture to your hard drive or another storage location. Remove the top text box and insert the picture in it's place - you can then perform the rotation on the picture.

If you go to the Avery Design & Print Online section, you will be able to print the tent card, being able to view opposite sides on your screen---no need to print one side and rotate/print again for other side.

Solution that I just discovered is that, it might take a little bit of extra printing, - doing 2 steps of printing for a one tent card! but it works! - that's all that matters, just give extra time!

To start off with, type the "Name" just one side. Print it once, Put the printed tent card back on printer, making sure it is the other way round and print it again one more time.
