Question

Why is this file only in Word format?

I read the instructions for downloading and it listed a variety of file formats. None of which I was able to download. I'm using Indesign.

I can't answer why Avery makes the decisions it does as to file format, but if it's any help, the template will open in any application that uses the open format (such as OpenOffice), too, and is a word processor app. I honestly have no idea why you can't download the files (make sure you Save them to your hard drive -- your desktop is best so it's easy to find after downloading it -- rather than try to Open them when the dialog box comes up for downloading), but if Indesign won't natively open them once on your desktop, you might try CS Live online services and see if there is help there.

Where is there a cross reference between the downloaded templates with the U-***** codes to the 54** label codes on the packages???

I downloaded the complete set of label templates for Office Word to my system & I have a file full of U-****-** templates, but your packages are labeled with 5*** codes. Wouldn't it make more sense to set-up the templates with the same codes as the package codes???!!! Duh.
