To get rid of the picture, just click on it and hit "delete". To remove the words, just click on them and use the "delete" or "backspace" keys to remove what is written there, then type in what you want. You can change the typeface, make it bold, center it or change the size, although more than 14 points in Arial might not work. If there were no words showing, you wouldn't know where to click to start typing. At least that's my take on it.
