Question

When I type my info in Word, everything is lined up just how I want it in the oval; but when I print, everything is higher than the oval.

My print does not line up on the labels. I have went through 2 sheets of this already. Any help is appreciated.

Use the Photo paper setting on your printer - solved the problem for me. It takes longer to print and uses more ink but the alignment stays true. Try it!!!

You may need to change your printer settings to accommodate the label sheets. Please see your printer user guide or contact your printer manufacturer to get additional assistance in changing the printer settings. There evidently is no vector template. It's sort of shocking that no one at this big company has thought beyond the office/home hobby market. All they need to do is supply a PDF showing the placement of the elements for each of their items and everyone working in any of the Adobe CS products would be good to go. When you call to inquire about a PDF template they try to push their online design-ey thing.

My workaround was this:
Download the basic template for the 22804 labels. Because the ovals I could see on the screen went invisible when I tried to print to PDF from Word, I ended up having to make the lines around the ovals darker in Word. Next, I used shift/select to select and copy all of the ovals together as a unit. I pasted them together into a blank 8.5x11 InDesign document. Happily, all the little ovals showed up and landed in the right spot on the page, so I exported the resulting InDesign doc as a PDF file and now I have my template. I'll be able pull it into a base layer and design away. (A PDF file can be opened in Photoshop or Illustrator and used as base layer there, too--just turn off the template layer before printing or exporting a PDF of the finished artwork. Doesn't matter if you're on a PC or a Mac.)

Avery could do a lot to make things easier for designers!

No, we don't. Try the newest version of Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. This design software does not require any downloads and contains templates for all Avery's products.

Question

22814 Not available in Avery Templates

I just purchased expensive Avery labels for template 22814. Now I find that I can only use it in MS Word (2010) which is and always has been a nightmare to use with Avery templates when you need to make a page of labels that are all different (not mail merge). Please advise on this. I just finished two pages of labels that took me over 2 hours with copy and images jumping all over the place.

Question

Now I can't repeat same label (22812) in MS Word 2010.

Back again. I have created one perfect label on Avery 22814 template in MS Word 2010. Now I want to print an entire page of this same label. Can't figure out how to do this. Frustration continues.

For best results use Avery Design & Print Online at www.Avery.com/Print. Once you format one of the labels select the "Apply to All" option through the Sheet Navigator to replicate the design to entire sheet.
