If you are using word, once you have your labels set up and before you update all labels, you should be able to highlight the first entry and make your appropriate changes. You can change the font, the size, the color, etc. You can also update your labels and then highlight the whole page and make your changes. I have tried it both ways and have not had a problem. I always print a test page before using the labels to be sure they print correctly.

This product may be an older version of Avery's Business Cards that are currently available online. Try to find the similar product. I have older versions as well. The best thing to do is print out test pages. Find which product best matches your own. You may need to adjust the settings/borders/spacing in the print setup to best fit your product.

If you are using Avery Design Pro, most (if not all) Business Card formats should work if the cards are designed as 10 per page with no center margin.
This should also work in other software packages that have business card formats.
If this is not an Avery product and is laid out differently you may have to create a Custom Layout. This is usually not difficult to do as many of the programs that print labels and business cards also have an option to create Custom Layouts by copying an existing layout and then making the needed changes to fit your product.

Actually you have a item number from overseas. The measurements for your cards are 3.34" (85mm)x 2.12" (54mm) which is just under most of the template sizes for the eight sheet business cards. You could try 8879 and remember that for printing your cards are a hair smaller than the template.

Go to the Avery site and under product category click on Specialty Products. You will see the entry for dark t-shirt transfers. Click on that and the template will appear on the right side of the screen. If you do not have the Avery Wizard program on your computer you might consider downloading it. It makes getting to the right place so much easier.

First, open a new document on your desktop by using Microsoft Word, or the program available. Second, go to the Envelope/Label tab and click on the label side. Third, select the Label tab and go down and select single Label. Fourth, on the Address space above the single or multi label tabs, insert the desired address. then if this is the first one, place the label page according to your printer specifications, ie(upside down or right side up) and print. Fifth, from the second Label on you have to alter the number or the column or row accordingly. .. and you are on your way to print one Label or many Labels like a pro! have fun

When you first open the label page, some programs will ask if you are making a lot of the same label or different information on each label. Choose that one. Then you can click on the label position and enter any informaation you want on that label. Click on the next position if you want to add additional labels. If you are not using an Avery template but another program, look on your print screen. In the middle it may ask where (in what position) you want to start or how many labels you are printing. Always check the print preview first.

It may seem odd, but on the Avery web site do a search for "8161" and download just this one template rather than the entire suite of templates. The template is there for Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

You probably have an incompatible add-in that will need to be uninstalled. You can do this through Add/Remove Programs or look in Words start-up folder and delete it from there. Copy this line and paste it into the address box of Windows Explorer (the file manager, not the web browser), then press Enter:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Word\Startup
or here

I have tried to create a page of different mailing address labels using template 8160, it never works only the name shows in the print preview

Are you sure that you entered the data into each label individually? Sometimes I forget to enter it in each separate box. You must enter the information exactly as the example shows...

for example:
aznstickerlvr
123 Some St
Somewhere, Earth 987654321

If you enter it all as one line, it won't turn out too well! :D I am also a firm believer in printing test pages. Don't always believe the print preview...I hate to admit it...but they're not always correct. :P

Are you using Microsoft Word? If so when you open new document click on tools, letters and mailing then labels. Go to options select Avery US letter under label venders. Scroll down until you come to 8260, click okay. Click on new document, page should pop up with outline of labels and you should be able to type in different address for each label.
Hope this helps.

Try a smaller font. The font may to big to display the entire address. Also, you may need to tab down to display each line individually - they may be all running together.

You will need to set your printer settings to labels. Portrait should be the default for labels. You should also make sure that the other printer settings such as sizing/effects/advanced are set for portrait legal document/label printing. I would also recommend printing a test page before you try anything with your labels. Sometimes you will need to compensate for unalignment by adding in spaces, or moving around the borders on the ruler. To prevent printing in extreme corners, you need to have headers, and borders set in the page set up.

When you print windows opens, see if there is a "scale to" box towards the left side. If there is, you need to make sure "none" is selected. The print should default to the template margins.

Formatting and printing individual or multiple labels can be done by using the downloadable templates at www.Avery.com/Templates and Avery design software at www.Avery.com/Software. When using the Word templates, select "Single label" option and format the desired amount of labels. In Avery Wizard, after selecting the template and orientation, choose 'Type many different entries on a sheet'. If on Avery Design & Print Online select the 'Enhanced Editing' option to create individual labels. Reminder, if you select a pre-designed template, delete the formatting on unused labels. We do not recommend passing the label sheets through the printer multiple time since it may cause adhesion issues. If your looking to print lesser quantities consider using the labels that are available in half sheets. For additional information on Avery label products please see www.Avery.com/Labels.
