If the outside material of your binder is a plastic-type material, I have often used, with great success, rubbing alcohol. Put a little rubbing alcohol on a paper towel (or a Q-tip), and starting at one corner of the label, rub it across the label until the entire label is removed from your binder (now ready for a NEW AVERY LABEL)! This should remove all of the adhesive from the prior label.

Open binder all the way and then some. I usually grab my letter opener and get it without any trouble. But if it is really stuck, I grab the compressed air can (used to clean computer) It works everytime.

One of the best ways I've found to remove labels and stickers at home is to use a hair dryer (or some other heat source that won't damage the product). The heat softens the label, which can then be removed by peeling off or scraping off with a flat, thin-edged tool.

Get a Popsicle stick or a toothpick (depending on how far down it is) and slide it down the pocket and hold the Popsicle stick against it while you slowly pull it up. If this doesn't work, try and cut the end of the Popsicle stick (or toothpick) and fray the end in one direction then, do the same thing: slide it down the pocket and hold the Popsicle stick against it while you slowly pull it up. Hope this helps!

It will look a little silly next to your popsicles and frozen leftovers, but if you put the binder in the freezer for at least two hours, the adhesive will come loose and the label will practically fall off on its own.

Generally, I've found this problem to be related to using InkJet printers. The labels will usually separate from the ink and slide right out, but then the ink residue is left behind. If this is the problem, the only solution would be to switch to LaserJet. If the label itself will not budge, just try making small shifts until it breaks loose.

The best way is to use a hair dryer to make the glue loose. Put it on high and wave it over the label for about a minute. It should come off fairly easy.

I find that if I pull the label from two corners straight down slowly, it will come off in one piece and will not tear. A paper towel with a little alcohol on it will remove the glue residue.

Excellant question because the trick is to get the label off without stretching or marring the vinyl surface. I have found two products to work the best. First peel off as much of the label as you can without scraping. Then use a paper towel with either a little lighter fluid or WD40 in it to remove the rest of the residue. WD40 works best for me. You may have to apply it, let it soak momentarily, then wipe clean. Using a light washing of Windex will remove any petroleum based residue. With very little effort you will get everything removed.

The quickest and easiest way is with lighter fluid. If you don't have that, charcoal lighter should work, too. Just apply a small amount onto a paper towel and rub it across the label and/or glue residue. It will dissolve and come off like magic. (It all has to do with the properties of petroleum based products.) Another benefit is there is no need to clean up with another product afterwards.

If assuming that you are using a "view" binder, lay the binder open flat with the spine facing you. Using a long, pointed letter opener (or even a butter knife), slide the letter opener underneath the label and nudge the label out the top of the spine. You may have to wiggle it a little!

There is a product called Goo-B-Gone that will remove it or try cooking spray (that you use in place of oil). Spray the label and wait a minute or two and then rub it off with a paper towel. You might want to use a little cleaner after that to get the greasy feeling off.

It's an easy fix to remove the Avery labels from the spines of binders. Simply bring your blow dryer in from your gym bag or home for a day and use the lowest setting to get the adhesive melty. Then simply start at the top of the label and firmly peel off. This is a great way to recycle binders.

I usually use either the end of the scissors or a pencil eraser to "grab" the spine label. Also, you must open the binder flat and this makes it much easier to remove the label.

The best place to get them is the Avery Web Site. I use the web site from Templates to Software Information and if you cannot find what you are looking for on the site. It may be hard to find. All the indexes that I have found at Staples have been made by Avery.
